Edith Cook was born in 1882 in Yonkers, the daughter of Sarah Rebecca Williams. Her father, Isaac Newton Cook, graduated from Cornell in 1875. Her brother, Joseph Williams Cook, a member of Theta Delta Chi, graduated in 1902. During his senior year, Edith came to Ithaca to live with her uncle, Emmons L. Williams (Cornell University Treasurer). She married Edwin James Collins in 1906; their son Emmons Williams Collins graduated from Cornell in 1927, and her great granddaughter, Samantha Neurather...
